When Is Urgent Care Right for Chest Pain Treatment

• Mild but persistent discomfort or pressure in the chest
  Often, chest discomfort is caused by heartburn, GERD (extreme acid reflux), a pulled muscle, or anxiety.
• Mild but persistent chest discomfort that is accompanied by a burning sensation
  Acid reflux is another common cause of prolonged chest discomfort. Consider visiting an urgent care center when over-the-counter antacids are not effective.
• Chest pain that varies in severity
  Muscle strains, sprains, and pulls often worsen with movement and when taking deep breaths. If this is the case, you will likely have a muscle injury. While this is not usually cause for concern, seeking professional X-ray and imaging services to rule out anything more serious is a good idea.
