Meet Brandy Hall, NP
Brandy earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Rivier University in New Hampshire and became certified as a family nurse practitioner (FNP). She practiced as an NP for four years before joining ClearChoiceMD, where she has cared for patients for nearly five years.
Outside of work, Brandy enjoys traveling, kayaking, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family.
Why Did You Decide to Work at an Urgent Care?
During her first year of college, Brandy worked as a patient care technician in a medical-surgical unit. It was a formative experience for her.
“I loved learning from the physicians, nurses, and patients themselves—it was incredibly rewarding at 18 years old,” says Brandy. “While I was preparing for nursing courses, this position confirmed it was the only career path I would consider.”
As she began her practice, Brandy wanted to expand her clinical skills and care for patients with a variety of injuries and illnesses. She felt that urgent care would be the right path.
“I continue to appreciate the unpredictability of each day,” says Brandy. “It’s not uncommon to treat an illness, splint a broken bone, and suture an open wound within the first few hours of a shift.”
What Do You Love About Your Work?
Brandy values the opportunity to connect with her patients at ClearChoiceMD.
“I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know many different local families,” she says. “I love building these relationships in both the community and the health care setting.”
The opportunity to work as part of a supportive team has been a highlight for her.
“I’m fortunate to work alongside highly skilled staff that promote a positive work environment and serve as a source of support and motivation for each other,” says Brandy.
What Do You Hope to Give to Your Patients?
Brandy hopes to provide her patients with excellent care and “a warm, welcoming environment.”
“Acute medical issues are often a stressful event,” says Brandy. “I appreciate the challenge of eliminating that stress and creating a positive experience.”
In her interactions with patients, Brandy focuses on the individual first and foremost.
“Listening to the patient is the most important part of every visit,” she says. “One of my early mentors would say that at least 90% of the diagnosis comes from what the patient tells you, and I would agree.”
Asked about the quality she most seeks to embody as a provider, Brandy highlights compassion.
“It is one of our core values and helps me to relate to each patient and have an empathetic understanding of their individual needs,” she says. “Despite working in healthcare for many years, I don’t think this value has diminished.”
