ClearChoiceMD Urgent Care will now offer Suboxone Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) at their Portsmouth, NH and Epping, NH centers. This new service is offered in addition to their current urgent care and occupational health services.
Opioid addiction continues to be an epidemic nationwide. Those seeking treatment have limited options, and many are even waitlisted due to limited resources. To help patients receive timely care and begin their recovery, ClearChoiceMD is adding MAT to their services. The treatment will be piloted at their Portsmouth, NH and Epping, NH locations with the potential for future program expansion to all centers.
MAT is a critical tool in the battle against addiction. Timely treatment is essential for recovery and with few options, this has become increasingly challenging. By introducing MAT into the urgent care environment, treatment availability increases, allowing for more patients to be treated sooner. Although appointments will be required for MAT, the convenient extended hours provide greater flexibility for patients seeking treatment.
“Our urgent care model is designed to respond to the medical needs of our communities. We understand that there is a dire need for treatment options and we want to do our part to help,” said Dr. Thomas H. Scott at ClearChoiceMD. “We believe that by adding Medication Assisted Treatment to our services, we help our patients find a solution to what we know is a very difficult medical and community crisis”.
ClearChoiceMD Urgent Care will continue to provide exceptional walk-in medical services to patients for acute conditions that are not life-threatening. They will also continue providing Occupational Health services such as the evaluation and treatment of workplace injuries, DOT physicals, drug screens and pre-employment physicals. For these visits, no appointment is necessary.
Patients should reach out for more information on Medication Assisted Treatment by calling the MAT Program Coordinator at (207) 205-0007.
